Daily minutes from the mayor's office

Whew, it's been a busy past couple of days, but what's new, right? Ha! I guess I should start expecting to be busy from now on.

The Alien Ant Farm/311 concert was pretty bomb. The crowd was extra-rough but that's the way I like 'em! They played tons of stuff of Soundsystem (my fave album) so that helped me really get into it. Chad came up and him Ben and I went to D'Leons beforehand. We have another convert. After the concert, we all chilled at the apartment for awhile cause I was exhausted, sweaty, and achy all over. Chad went home eventually and I fell asleep preparing for the coming day.

Went to Omaha around 2 the next day. Hooked up with Croskey, bought my Zebrahead ticket, and went and ate at Goldberg's. Wow! Hadn't been there in forever. I forgot how good the food was... Mmm. Visited the old friends over at Pageturners and got a few books per usual. Concert-time. I show up, meet Chad at the gates and we get in. 8th Wave was alright. Not too spectacular live, but they were cool guys though. Talked with a couple of them after the show. I ended up seeing my cousin Greg, his girlfriend Amber, Suds and Tina there before Lucky Boys came on. They played an awesome set. The entire crowd was into it. Really really good set. Then Zebrahead. Of course. The quintessential rock band. Heh, maybe not quite that, but they rocked. They played a lot off of their new album and once again, they never cease to amaze me. Show's over.

Chad and I buy some CDs and posters and what not and then split ways. I decide to stay after and try to get my poster signed cause ZH is the only band in my Top 4 that I don't have autographs of. I wait, and wait, and wait. I talked with ZH's and LBC's road managers for a bit. Heh, they were fun individuals. Finally, I see a small crowd outside their bus. I go over and start talkin' shop with my boys and getting my poster signed. We're talking about bowling and I tell them how I always go with my friends and the guy I was with tonight (Chad) is huge into bowling. They mention that they're about to go inside to bowl a few games cause the Ranch Bowl is well, a bowling alley too. Then Ali of ZH looks at me and asks if I wanna come in a bowl a few frames. I said: "Hmm... lemme-think-about-it-for-a-sec-yes." So, we all go inside. There are a couple other fans besides me, but we all just take up a few lanes and bowl. They talked about how the tour was going, I asked how their fans in Japan were, basically idle conversation between some people. It was amazing. I got to hang out and BOWL with one of my favorite bands. It was nuts. It still seems all too surreal. I was like a fucking dream, man. A dream come true. Heh.

Well, today. Woke up, had an associate's meeting. BORING. And then I came back home to Lincoln. Ben, Maxey and I cooked out tonight. Good shit as always. We then went over to his house and watched Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Good good movie. I reccommend it to all. Well, good night all. Have fun tomorrow and be safe!

Very very tired and exhausted. Heh, I'm not used to actually working when I'm at work. Stupid cushy library job! Another nine hour shift today. Blah. We got a toy drop so all I did all day was take toys out of boxes and put them up on the shelves and all of that. Not too bad, but pretty tedious stuff. I almost fell off the ladder about 5 different times. Heh, thank God for balance recovery. Decent day selling too. I'm keeping up my $11/hr average. And this is fine by me.

Came home after work pretty feverish and achy, so I think I might be coming down with something. No work tomorrow, so I am gonna sleep in a bit. I need to get up to drive Katie to her car at the shop though. Blah. Oh well, I'm always happy to help out. Chad (and maybe Priluck) are going to be coming down for the 311 concert tomorrow night. That should be a fun fun time. He'll dig the apartment. For serious. I'll blog again tomorrow with updates on that, aight? Check ya.

Hey all! A long weekend, it was. A long long looong ass weekend.

Luckily I didn't do shit Friday night or else I'd be passed out right now.

Saturday, I worked from 8-2. I woulda been 5 but my uncle called me up and had an extra ticket to the Husker game. So I, unfortunatly, went to it. Yikes, that was nasty. I experienced both ends of the fan spectrum. I sat in-between a really fat guy and a really hot chick. LOL It was a pretty "tight" situation. Heh. But watching any football game is fun, so whatever. People need to back the hell up off Lord though. 95% of the bad things he does are not his fault. Sheeit. It's the O-Line. The fucking O-Line needs to step it up. For real. Damn. Vili-Waldrop is always the first to help Lord off of his ass cause he isn't BLOCKING ANYONE. It's ridiculous.

Later that night Ben, Katie and I hooked up with Dave cause Evan was in town for the K-State game. Good to see that boy again! We went to their friend's house and they had a keg of Boulevard Wheat... oh man. I didn't think it could get any better, but it is so much better from the keg... *drool* Got pleasantly tipsy and was at my best. Heh, I was making jokes and all that. It feels good to feel like the life of the party. I dunno. Good stuff. A real fun night. After I got drove home, I tipsily flirted with all of my girl friends online. Heh, I think I might have said a few things I shouldn't have said, but then again, maybe I should have said them. Cause they were the truth! Ha ha. I think I should start being more forward with my thoughts to people. The in-depthness of my blogs is a good start, but I need to tell people how I really feel earlier. Then I won't have as many regrets (especially in the women department) as I do now.

Well, I'm glad I didn't work till noon today cause it was nice to sleep in. Thank God I did cause I ended up working 3 hours longer than intended. Yeesh. And now I have another 12-9 shift to look forward to tomorrow. I'm gonna kill myself if I keep this pace up! But all of my hard work will be rewarded this Thursday. Payday! I can't wait to see it. It'll be most excellent. Well, now that we're all caught up, I will see you tomorrow night after another looong day. Night!

Sorry I didn't write last night. Some maintenance bullcrap, but all is well now.

Yesterday was my lazy day. Played computer for most of the day and uhh.. yeah. That about does it. Heh

Worked today, pretty slow, but decent. Ummm....uhh... I'm really bored and tired right now, so I'm a little uninspired to write, so I'm just gonna say sorry for the boring post and I'll be in a much more creative mood tomorrow. See ya

I continue to sell well. I've already paid my rent for this month and I've only worked 6 days. This is going to be glorious. Quite glorious. I need to start a shopping list for apartment essentials. I really want to sprucen this place up and buy a few things that I'll have with me for awhile. New TV. New futon matress. Plates, glasses, and any other kitchenware really. What else, what else? We'll have to think about that this week.

After work, I milled about and then went to eat dinner at Maxey's. We chilled and ate and did all that fun stuff. Porn and Andy came over and helped me teach Katie how to play pitch. Porn and I were partners and it looked like we were doomed to lose, so we shot the moon on the last hand for the hell of it and ended up winning. Heh, I bet Katie never wants to play that game again! Whew. Good stuff.

I really need a pursuee. a.k.a. A chick to harp over. As good as things are going right now, things will become pretty monotonous if I don't have that going on in my life. It adds a certain thrill to your everyday life. You are constantly thinking and planning on how to get this girl to like you. Well, at least I do. It's a good mind occupier and motivator. So please, if you know any hard-to-get chicks, send 'em my way. Either that, or watch out. Cause I'll be coming after you! (assuming you are a girl. Sheesh. Quit puttin words in my mouth!) Well, to read and to bed. Night!

I suck. You don't. You're smart. I'm dumb. You're attractive. I'm not good-looking. Apology accepted? Good. Now, we'll forget any of this ever happened and move on. Okay? Okay.

Now, I've been working hardcore. Averaging about 13 bucks an hour with my commission. So I can sell! Sheeit. You know this! I could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Alright, so that quote was stolen, but it was appropriate!

Now not much else has been going on really. Well, stuff, but too much to talk about in one post and nothing really cool enough to share. So I will get back to my routine tomorrow, okay? Work from 10-5 and then I dunno. We'll see.

I'm a day late, I know I know. But there's really been nothing to talk about. I haven't been able to work this week because it would be illegal. My credit and criminal report hasn't been processed, so I wasn't even supposed to work when I did. I SHOULD be just stepping out of the Matrix: Revolutions, but no theatres in Omaha or Lincoln were having midnight showings. I've basically sat on my ass for the past couple days and have been happy about it.

Not much to tell today. Slept in, watched football, went to Target with Link and basically chilled all night. A good day of rest after a busy weekend. Not much on my mind tonight either. That's weird, heh. Well, goodnight

Augh, what an exhausting day. I woke up at 6:30 before my alarm went off, showered, shaved, and went to the Radio Shack associate's meeting. All they did was pretty much give us this spiel on how much better the district is and what we can do to sell better and blah blah blah. Nothing too interesting. Very unlike my work day. I should have sold about 8 phones today and a whole bunch of other crap, but a whole lot of stupid shit prevented me from doing so. Dumb activation people leaving me on hold, guys with foreign credit cards, and dumb mean wives/husbands. Oh well, if not for these events, I would be doing awesome. So that tells me something about my selling ability. I am really catching on and starting to feel a little bit more loose. So we shall see how things work out this next week.

Augh, I didn't take a rest break during work at all, so I spent 9 hours on my feet in uncomfortable shoes without anything to eat. I came home, ate some Chunky soup and CRASHED! 3 hours nap. That's unheard of from me. I was woke up by Sara and Alison asking me what I was gonna do all night. I was happy with just laying on my ass right there, but how can a guy say no to two girls asking him to go out? We ended up over at Smith to go visit Annie. It was cool just to talk and such and hang out. Sometimes a good conversation is all you need on a Saturday night. I promised Annie's roommate some pitch, so I'll have to be making a return trip soon. After that, I walked over to Harper, talked with Ham a bit since he was working, went up and watched 6 episodes of Family Guy, talked with Mitch for a bit, chilled, and then came home.

This leaves me here to type to you, the masses. What else do you want know? I take requests. I'll be here all week, folks! Just drop me an e-mail @: atwood333@hotmail.com . I expect some e-mails people!

Hey hey! The first day at the job went pretty well. I got a pretty good grasp on things and I think my manager was pretty impressed with the way I had caught on. Lots of things to learn still though, so I shouldn't get too ahead of myself.

Hung out at home before Halloween festivities started. Annie and Sara came over and brought chocolate. They are too awesome... and TOTALLY hot! (Heh heh, inside joke for all who don't understand.) We then went to a nice costume party and watched people get totally blitzed. I only had a couple. It was a Theatre department party, so you KNOW they had some kick-ass costumes. I went as Shaggy. Nothing too over the top, but I did have my box of Scooby Snacks! The party got busted, so we had to high-tail it outta there. Annie's roommate called her up and told us about this magical 24 hr Mexican place. It reminded me of Alvarado's, so I decided it was worthwhile to investigate. We got there, saw the menu and then realized it WAS Alvarado's!!! SAME MENU! Only this place is called D'Leon's. I don't care what the name is as long as I get my Arizona burrito. Oh wow. Now that I know I have able access to this place, I am a MUCH happier person.

Augh, I have to wake up in 3 hours. Geezus. Oh well, I'll learn my lesson then. As for now, I'm having fun and enjoying it! So all of you people who go to bed way early, you're missing out on all the fun. (i.e. Read above)
